Art Walk In Historic Downtown Owego, Third Friday of Every Month.
In a three block walkable area, the Owego Art Walk is a great
Friday night destination. Ten galleries are open for the night
to feature new artists each month. Unique and unusual sites
include 2 new second story galleries over Riverow Stores, a
gallery in a coffee house, a gallery with a view of the river in
one of the historic houses on Front Street and many more. Art!
Music! Refreshments! at each site. In addition, several of the
sites will feature art videos from the Experimental TV Center
which since 1971 has offered programs in support of the media
arts, sponsorship assistance for independent media and film
artists. Sites will be marked with sandwich boards and balloons
and brochures with maps to find galleries on Front Street and
Lake Street and restaurants nearby. Artists will display and
discuss their works. In some venues, demonstrations or
performing arts will be featured. Come and join the fun in our
picturesque historic village on the Susquehanna River at exit 64
off Route 17.
