Join us for a FREE poetry reading featuring the work of H.L. Hix and Jonathan Weinert on Saturday, August 15, at 3:00 pm at Tioga Arts Council (TAC) - Gallery located at 179 Front St., Owego, NY 13827. Afterward, there will be a Q&A with books for sale. Join us!

ABOUT H.L. HIX
H. L. Hix’s recent books include a novel, The Death of H. L. Hix; a “testamentary” related to gun violence, American Outrage; the Vern Rutsala Book Prize-winning poetry collection Constellation; and an essay collection, Demonstrategy. He professes philosophy and creative writing at a university in “one of those square states,” and lives a little over a mile from the 12-story dormitory that is the tallest building in the entire state.

ABOUT JONATHAN WEINERT
Jonathan Weinert is the author of the poetry collections The New England Book of Dying and Living (forthcoming 2026), A Slow Green Sleep (2021), Thirteen Small Apostrophes (2012), and In the Mode of Disappearance (2008). A recipient of the Saturnalia Books Editors Prize, the Nightboat Poetry Prize, and the Copper Nickel Editors’ Prize, Jonathan serves as assistant editor of The Louisville Review. He lives in Stow, Massachusetts.
